Review of "Singin' Bout My Jesus"
Project just released 2004
Looking back over the past few years I have reviewed every single project this group has ever recorded. The amazing thing is that each one keeps getting better and better! March Forth is the name of the group and their latest project was just released.
I'VE GOT A LOVE starts off the project and it's a wonderful arrangement of thie great old song! BACK TO THE FOUNDATION is a song with a wonderful message to remind us of the foundation of our Faith! SINGIN' BOUT MY JESUS is the title track and it's a good song! It pretty much sums up our appreciation and love for Jesus! FEELING AT HOME is a very familiar song in this style of music and March Forth does a fine job on this old classic. The next song was written by a friend of mine, Tim Beitzel of the Couriers. Tim also was the Vocal Coordinator on this project and WHEN JESUS CALLS ia a great song from Tim. It helps us to think of that wonderful day when Jesus comes to call us Home to Heaven! JUST A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS is a quartet standard and March Forth takes their turn singing the song on this project. It's a good arrangement and a nice performance. HOLY GHOST MOVIN' IN THIS PLACE is an up tempo song that will surely make you want to clap along. WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THE LAMB slows it down quite a lot and is a very inspiring song. SECOND BIRTH is another song with a very strong message as it helps us to recall that special day that we invited Christ into our heart. The final song on this project is LIFT HIM HIGH. The song is a great source of encouragement for anyone going through a trial in their life.
I've known this group almost from day one and they have progressed into one of the many fine male quartets in the Northeast. This project is well produced and the songs are all very good songs with strong performances. My favorite songs from this project are: SECOND BIRTH, WHEN JESUS CALLS AND SINGIN' BOUT MY JESUS. It's a wonderful project from this male quartet and the way they keep getting better almost makes me anxious for their next one!
